Biography & Scholarship

My research explores how extended reality, visualization, artificial/augmented intelligence, and emerging technologies can help people better understand complex scientific and environmental systems. My work has moved across scales, from the microscopic to the infinite. Today, my research focuses increasingly on global environmental challenges, human connection, and environmental kindness. I am particularly interested in how design technologies can deepen our understanding of the world and strengthen how we care for one another and the planet we share.
