Biography & Scholarship

Devin Becker is the Associate Dean for Research and Instruction at the University of Idaho Library, where he co-directs the Center for Digital Inquiry and Learning (CDIL). He directs the development of CollectionBuilder, an open-source framework for creating digital collections and exhibits that has been adopted by libraries and cultural heritage institutions worldwide. His digital scholarship projects—including Storying Extinction, Oral History as Data, and Digital Dramaturgy—explore new approaches to archival presentation and public humanities. His first book of poetry, Shame | Shame, was awarded the A. Poulin Jr. Poetry Prize and published by BOA Editions, Ltd. in 2015.
