Biography & Scholarship

Dr. Andrew Scheef is an Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Idaho, where his teaching and research focus on inclusive post-secondary education (IPSE), post-school transition planning, and community-based learning opportunities for students with disabilities. He is the founder of Vandal QUEST, the university’s inclusive college program, which supports students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in pursuing academic, social, and career pathways alongside their peers. Dr. Scheef’s scholarship emphasizes collaboration among schools, families, and community partners to expand equitable access to higher education and meaningful employment. He is dedicated to preparing future educators to design inclusive learning environments that promote independence, self-determination, and lifelong success.
