Abstract
Formes is a digital poetry platform that explores the visual impact of poems through two distinct features: “Formes” that invite writers to compose within the structural frameworks of classic poems and “Builds” that enable users to generate poems by combining and editing selected lines from specific poets, schools, or eras.
Drawing inspiration from the historical printing forme—a frame used to lock text in place for printing—the platform examines how the visual structure of the line shapes both the writing and reception of poetry.
