Abstract
An abundant seed producer, wild carrot grows in meadows, pastures, along roadsides and in non-crop areas. A Class B noxious weed in Washington, the pest ruins cultivated carrot seed and possibly is mildly toxic to horses and cattle. This publication briefly describes the weed's characteristics and ecology and discusses the cultural, mechanical and chemical controls that can help you to protect your fields in the event of an infestation.
