To paraphrase a Chinese proverb, it's always a good time to plant a tree, but the dry southwestern Idaho climate might give you second thoughts. This bulletin will restore hope. Learn how to choose the tree species that are best adapted to the region and how to plan a watering regime that will both keep your trees healthy and conserve water. A listing of water-thrifty deciduous and coniferous trees for the region lists the general height, water requirements, form and other interesting features of each tree.
