Rising energy costs mean harder choices for grain growers with each passing season. This publication describes the ways southern Idaho grain producers can streamline production practices to gain control of their expenses. Some of the strategies covered include straw management, fertility and nitrogen management, and a range of other practices, like tillage and seeding rate reduction and tractor horsepower optimization.
