Abstract

"Riparian" lands along the edges of lakes and rivers are home to many plants that, together, act as a buffer and first line of defense to protect local waterways and lakes. This brochure-style guide defines riparian buffers and explains how landowners can manage these areas. It also contains beautiful illustrations of native plants that are great partners in building a healthy riparian buffer.
