Abstract
This publication summarizes more than three decades of research into planting date in spring and winter wheat production in southwestern Idaho. Much of the information will be pertinent to other areas. Topics include effects of planting date on tiller development, pests, yield, quality and water management. Also discussed are ways to compensate for late planting and variety selection.
