Russian thistle is the most economically important summer-annual broadleaf weed found in the low-precipitation zone of the inland Pacific Northwest. This weed causes serious management problems in wheat after the harvest and during summer fallow. This publication covers Russian thistle biology, impacts, crop competition, control and management, herbicide resistance and tips for control.
