Abstract

Long Live Idaho is a public health initiative that promotes healthy eating and active living. This four-part bulletin series provides evidence-based guidelines promoted by the campaign, supplemented by engaging infographics and other resources that make their adoption simple and doable. Step Away from the Screen, the third entry in the series, emphasizes the importance of engaging in real-life activities, rather than those driven by electronic devices. A handy table provides alternatives that replace television viewing or computer use with social engagement, physical activity, or work on handmade projects.
