Some practical strategies include establishing a game plan prior to shopping; the importance of shopping a store s perimeter; buying produce in season; buying in bulk; unit pricing; and how to stretch a protein budget. Guided by these basic principles, shoppers can make smarter choices the next time they visit a supermarket.
