Abstract

Idaho is home to about forty grasshopper species, particularly the Treasure Valley, where their biggest impact is as agricultural pests. Despite the insect’s prevalence, most of the resources for species identification in the state are either outdated or lack illustrations. Containing more than thirty images (most of them specimen photography), this publication helps you to learn how to more accurately identify twenty-four of the species found in the state as well as provides the latest information about their morphology, distribution, feeding habits, and habitats.
