Abstract
Information on the overseas Chinese has proliferated in recent years, particularly in the western United States and Canada, and in Australia and New Zealand. Relevant historical and archaeological sites include mining remains, stores, market gardens, urban Chinatowns, temples, and cemeteries, as well as a variety of sites and features related to other occupations and activities. Museums and archives often house artefacts and documentary materials necessary for understanding the overseas Chinese experience. Detailed descriptions of many such sites and repositories enable them to be visited in person or, often, by accessing the World Wide Web.
