Abstract
Fusarium dry rot of potato ( Solanum tuberosum), caused by Fusarium spp., can affect seed potato pieces with a dry, crumbly rot, reduce stand, and weaken plants. A 2024 trial was established in Bingham County, ID, to evaluate the efficacy of fungicide seed treatments to manage the disease at planting. Freshly cut seed pieces of potato cultivar ‘Russet Burbank’ were immediately inoculated with spore suspensions, treated, and then planted and evaluated for emergence, disease incidence and severity, and yield. Although emergence for the CruiserMaxx Vibrance Potato treatment was slowest, yield for this treatment was the highest, excluding the noninoculated control.
