Abstract
Investigated symptoms associated with histories of childhood sexual abuse and parental alcoholism among 364 university women. A substantial overlap (31%) was revealed between the two stressors, and a substantially higher level of symptoms was revealed in women who had experienced both during childhood. Results demonstrate the importance of measuring multiple stressors and how this examination may help predict individuals who are uniquely vulnerable.
