Abstract
No Alcohol No Fires is a cross-genre coming of age narrative that explores intersections of sexuality, masculinity, class, and Irish-Catholic religiosity within early 2000’s coastal Massachusetts. The work utilizes white space, image-making, and nonlinear narrative techniques to tell the story of a narrator reckoning with questions regarding identity, desire, embodiment, and God within a post-9/11 American mythology.
