Abstract
A History of Making is a selection of essays that serve as a meditation on the concept of the importance of people making meaning as well as the meaning of making. The essays work as an attempt to understand the changing nature of meaning as our lives progress, primarily through my life experiences. The essays are constructed in traditional and segmented formats in order to point to the progression of understanding in my life. Thematically, the narratives explore family, inheritance of duty and tools, life after war, and the attempt at rebirth.
