Abstract

reacchpna Isaac Madsen Washington state university Rhizotron Root Root imaging root toxicity fertilizer banding

The images collected here are images from a rhizotron study conducted in Pullman, WA. The study looks at how increasing urea fertilizer rates expands the zone of toxicity immediately surrounding the fertilizer pellets. The rates on the control were 4.6 mg/cm 64.8 mg/cm. The direction of increase was randomized from right to left or left to right in order to reduce potential biases. The crop species used was a winter Canola. Images were set to be collected every 4 hours.
